Took leave today to settle some personal stuff...and now as I enjoying a concert DVD by one of my favourite female artistes (who is also my mum's favourite) - "Frances Yip (葉麗儀) & the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra", brings back many fond memories...
Her vocal is powerful and solid! Something that this generation of singers can not pit themselves against. Crystal clear and really put all the hair on my arm standing on its ends...Of course she is famous for singing the original rendition of "上海灘", but somehow as she is singing "站在高岗上" (
no she is not the original singer of this song), somehow it brings tears to my eyes...dunno why...maybe becoz her vocals is really stirring the emotions in me...
She is good...
